Exercise from Feb 11, '17 All-Day Workshop

"Sound in Writing"- (link to handout from workshop)

Think about a particular sound from your childhood; something that means a lot to you, either negatively or positively. Use that as your starting point for writing. Describe the sound. Try to bring your reader right there with you to hear it. Then let the writing take you where you are supposed to go. As you write, be aware of sounds around you (and your other senses - sight, taste, smell, touch).
